Prey is a 2022 American science fiction action film directed by Dan Trachtenberg and written by Patrick Aison. It is the fifth installment in the Predator franchise, and the prequel to the 1987 film Predator. The film stars Amber Midthunder, Dakota Beavers, Dane DiLiegro, Stormee Kipp, Michelle Thrush, and Julian Black Antelope.
The film follows Naru (Midthunder), a young Comanche woman who fights to protect her tribe from an alien Predator. Prey is set in the Comanche Nation in the Northern Great Plains in 1719 and follows Naru, a skilled warrior, who fights to protect her people from the alien Predator.
Prey is rated R for violence, gore, and language. The film contains scenes of violence and gore, including graphic depictions of humans and animals being killed and mutilated. There is also some strong language throughout the film, including uses of the words "f--" and "s--t."
